Welcome to 10000 Veils

Dance our way to the new Earth

We are in troubling times. Make no mistake, the troubles have always been there but they are in our face more than ever now. I have asked myself how do I participate in bringing to fruition the new Earth I wish to see that is so different than anything I know.

This is an investigation of principles and inspiration to inform the new world.

I call this Ten Thousand Veils as a reference to Maryam Kabeer Faye describing her spiritual life as a journey through 10,000 veils. Knowing your north star, begin to peel back each veil as you progress step by step toward your goal, even though the route is never fully revealed. Creating a new Earth together will indeed be a journey through 10,000 veils as we are creating something that hasn't been seen before.

The principles I live and work with are:

  • Love
  • Diversity
  • Truth
  • Temperance
  • Community
  • Courage
  • Sustainability
  • Humility
  • Sovereignty
  • Intention

Let's explore and carve out a new way together!

Real protest is to help them wake up and take a new direction. To do that is real action. We can do it by setting an example. ... This is a radical way of peace making. You embody good health for yourself and for the world and live in such a way that proves a future can be possible.

The Basics

Building a New World starts with ourselves

Paradoxically, to change the world we need to let go of controlling our external environment and take responsibility for healing and changing ourselves. I was raised in a household with Type A authoritarian parents and a mom who was a self-proclaimed control freak. Control was the mechanism I was taught to get what I want. That's a lot of work and I realized most of it had no impact on my environment. When I let my environment be exactly how it was and focused on balancing my internal environment my external environment started to clear.

Changing our world starts with changing ourselves. Michael Jackson was said it well in Man in the Mirror: "Take a look at yourself and then make that change."

The foundations of changing the world are eating well, sleeping well, managing stress, and hydrating. I will come back and expand on these areas and give a few breathing exercises to help manage stress and anxiety.

A Documentary that gives hope and purpose

I came across this beautiful documentary of a couple doing work with the faerie realm. They remind us that humans are not the only intelligent life on the planet and the crux of faerie intelligence is remembering with imagination and play to work in consort with the other beings we co-inhabit planet earth with.

Apparently you can only watch it on Youtube. It's worth a click!
